Jeff serves as a court-appointed Category V - Parenting Coordinator in binding and non-binding, decision-making capacities to help children and co-parents of divorce and separation. Jeff is a Certified Divorce and Family Law Mediator and Arbitrator, who has undergone specific trained in Family Law Arbitration, Mediation, Conciliation and Parenting Coordination. He is a Past President and Fellow of the MA Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, a Fellow of the International Academy of Family Lawyers, and a former Director of the Massachusetts Chapter of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts ("AFCC") and Overcoming Barriers.
Jeff is an experienced litigator, who has specialized in divorce, family law and probate disputes. His areas of focus include parenting coordination in high conflict divorce cases, mediating divorce, custody, child support, alimony, removal, paternity, contempt, and modification actions, and negotiating and drafting premarital and postnuptial agreements.
Jeff has been ranked at the highest level of legal ability, "AV", in the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory, and has earned an AVVO "Superb" rating. He has also been recognized as a "Best Lawyer" and "Massachusetts Super Lawyer" (Top 100 lists for MA and New England) in the area of family law in an annual list published in Boston Magazine.

Degrees and Experience
A graduate of Columbia University, (B.A., 1994), Jeff completed his legal studies at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, (J.D., 1997). During law school, he clerked for the Israeli Supreme Court and advised the Israeli Justices on family law issues adjudicated in the United States. Jeff served in the United States Navy and through a selective Naval Intelligence program received a Russian Certificate from the Defense Language Institute in 1989. He is conversational in Russian and Hebrew.
Jeff is a Fellow and a Past President of the Massachusetts Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, a Fellow of the International Academy of Family Lawyers, a member of the Massachusetts Council on Family Mediation, Massachusetts Association of Guardians ad Litem, Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, Family Law and Probate Law Sections of the Massachusetts Bar Association, and of the Family Law Section and Fiduciary Litigation Subcommittee of the Trust & Estates Section of the Boston Bar Association. He serves as a court-appointed Category F/Guardian ad Litem, Parenting Coordinator and Conciliator. He is also certified through the AAML as a Family Law Arbitrator.
Jeff is a past member of the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Chapter of the AFCC, Overcoming Barriers, the Boys and Girls Club of Plymouth, the Board of Trustees of the Bay Farm Montessori Academy, and the Finance and Advisory Committee for the Town of Plymouth. He has been a frequent contributor of pro bono services to the community through the Lawyer of the Day program in the Plymouth County Probate and Family Court, and the Women's Bar Foundation’s Family Law Project for Battered Women. Jeff also served as Co-Chair of the Pro Bono Committee of the Boston Bar Association's Family Law Section Steering Committee.
Jeff is admitted to the Massachusetts, Florida and New York bars, the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, the U.S. Supreme Court and the U.S. Tax Court.
