Practice Details
Jane Honoroff, LICSW, MSW (Simmons), has been a practitioner in the mental health and social work field since 1969 and a mediator since 1984. She is a founding partner in The Mediation Group (TMG). Jane also conducts a private psychotherapy practice.
As a principal of TMG, Jane specializes in mediating family issues such as divorce, post-divorce, nontraditional family issues, family business, adult sibling disputes and estate settlement. She also handles most of the intakes for TMG’s family mediation program.
Jane is a Diplomate with the National Association of Social Workers, a Certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work with the American Board of Examiners and a member of the Association for Conflict Resolution. She received her M.S.W. from Simmons College Graduate School of Social Work in 1979.
Over her career, Jane has received many awards and recognitions:
In 2014, the Field Education Department at the Boston University School of Social Work selected Jane as the recipient of an Excellence in Field Instruction award. Jane is being recognized for going ‘above and beyond’ in her work with students and for the “significant impact [she has] had on [her] student’s professional growth as a developing social worker.”
In 2006, the Community Dispute Settlement Center awarded Jane with their annual Community Peacemakers Award.
