Having retired from the Probate & Family Court bench after 19 years of service, Judge Geoffrion has been able to resolve a significant number of cases out of court. Mediation has been proven to be a cost effective alternative to court intervention and avoids protracted litigation. In the vast majority of cases mediated, the parties have been able to reach a full agreement with the assistance of an experienced former judge. Geoffrion Dispute Resolutions focuses on lawyer assisted mediation of domestic and probate matters. GDR also provides mediation services for unrepresented individuals, when appropriate.

Judge Geoffrion (ret) is willing to assist all counties in the Commonwealth by using her skills, experience and expertise in assisting parties in resolving their disputes. In-person mediation sessions with appropriate social distancing can still be scheduled through November 2020. Thereafter, all mediation/conciliation sessions will be conducted virtually. Although parties may be hesitant to attempt dispute resolution by Zoom, this format has become increasingly successful as participants have all become more adept and familiar with this technology. Judge Geoffrion's goal is to utilize creative problem solving, continue to reach settlements and keep all participants safe.
