We are living in unprecedented times. The pandemic undoubtedly has impacted all aspects of our lives. Many uncertainties remain, and real estate is of particular interest. For many of our clients, the residential home is their biggest asset. Once the decision is made to sell their house, it is critical that proper steps are taken and all house due diligence is conducted so they can sell for the highest price possible. Furthermore, preserving credit beyond divorce is crucial.

In this workshop, we will address the current state of real estate and the specific requirements needed to navigate real estate sale and mortgage during divorce amidst the pandemic.

Specific topics to be covered:

  • National and State Housing Statistics
  • The Sale of a Divorcing Client's Home During the Pandemic
  • How to Stop Weaponizing Credit Against Each Other
  • Credit 101 Guidelines and Education
  • "Hidden Helocs - A Scary Story"
  • Gathering the House Homework
  • Verifying True Debts and Assets
  • The Issue of Forebearance
  • The Effects of Covid-19 on Divorcing Couples
