WORKSHOP TOPIC:  "What Research Tells Us About the Effect of Divorce on Children"

PRESENTERS:
Lisa Herrick, Ph.D.
Lisa J. Smith, Esq.
Doris Tennant, Esq.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN:

This live video presentation *** will offer a summary of some of the most useful, relevant and up-to-date conclusions drawn from multiple studies over the last 10 years on divorce and the impact on children. Dr. Herrick’s presentation will include the effects of divorce on children in different age and developmental groups, from infants and toddlers to teens, father involvement, overnights for children under 4, the most important risk factors for all children of divorced parents, and the impact on children of growing up in sole custody vs. shared custody arrangements, including a more detailed look at the impact of different proportions of shared time, up to and including 50-50 shared time for children of all ages.

Lisa J. Smith and Doris Tennant will facilitate the Q&A during the presentation. Following the presentation, Lisa and Doris will provide two roleplays for participants that will include some of the issues raised in Dr. Herrick’s presentation.

*** NOT a webinar-- you must be present to see the live video presentation and to participate in the Q&A and interactive sessions.
